Travel The World Family Dance & Yoga Series

Each week, we’ll imagine traveling to a new fascinating destination. We’ll learn about the culture and play with yoga poses & animal shapes that live in that region. We’ll yoga-dance to music inspired by that place. And we’ll go Inward – with an easy fun guided Meditation that’s geared toward ages 6 and up – and helps us all take a few moments to relax!

Yoga is the ancient practice of combining breath & movement to connect with the body and calm the mind & emotions. This playful Yoga class is designed to increase flexibility, improve motor skills, develop balance, and teach children tools to manage their emotions (from anxiety to depression & everything in between).
Yoga Poses and Yoga-Dance will help all of us to discover both our own inner silliness & our own amazing strengths. Then the guided relaxation in a Kid-specific Yoga Nidra meditation uses visualization and breathing techniques to calm the central nervous system and promote inner & outer healing. As soon as Adults lay down and model how to relax, everyone starts to benefit. Yoga Nidra is one of the best ways to reduce anxiety, release stress, and improve sleep quality – and we all could use a little help with that these days!
Caregivers, Parents, and Teens are highly encouraged to participate – modeling for younger kids how you also can be silly, move & stretch your body, and then be very still & relax.
