(sweet) September Kula News!

Namaste friends!

And hello sweet September!

This is one of our favorite months here in Crested Butte! The weather begins to turn crisp, the leaves change from green to gold, the farmer’s market reflects the fall harvest of sweet apples and roots, days resume their usual slower, calmer pace… and although we always miss the splendor of summer, there is something truly magical about September!

Can you believe that Y4P has been in business for NINE YEARS!? You’re invited to come CELEBRATE WITH US in our new space on Monday, September 19th (which is also Monica’s birthday!) After a busy and full summer we are ready to cut loose and celebrate the culmination of the last year and a half of great transition for Yoga For The Peaceful and our arrival in our new permanent location. Many of you have been with us since our humble beginnings and have seen all of our locations! We are happy to say that this new location at 326 Elk Ave will be our new home for a long time! Swing by any time for class pass specials and make sure to mark your calendar for our party and kirtan that night!

September is also National Yoga Month! Make sure to make time for your practice, bring a friend to class and celebrate the love of yoga! As part of National Yoga Month also please join us on September 22nd on the Fall Equinox as we join Shiva Rea and thousands of others around the country in a Equinox celebration of 108 Pranams for Peace! This sacred body prayer ritual is an alternative to the traditional 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar and honors our quest for peace as one people, one nation and one world uniting in peace.

Did I mention that September is also Jackie, Juliet AND Monica’s birthday month! That’s right we are ALL Virgos!

And if you haven’t heard, our beloved Juliet Stillman (and the owner of Downward Facing Dog Boutique) is getting MARRIED on September 25th!

There is so much to LOVE about September!

Wherever you are we hope you are having an enjoyable fall, whether you are going back to school, or just enjoying this sacred sandhya (time of transition). We hope that you are staying connected to your mind, body and spirit through the transformational practice of yoga, either here at Y4P, at your home studio or through your personal home practice! As always we are here to serve you and we hope to see many of our local friends returning to classes this fall. Our new space has heated wood floors so we’re probably the coziest place in town!

We hope to see you soon,

Monica and Jackie
