Aloha! I am back home from an amazing girls trip to Kauai with my friends Laura and Jenna! It’s hard to believe it has come and gone so quickly but we had a great time and came home with some amazing memories.
Trip highlights included surfing, snorkling and stand up paddleboarding, camping and hiking in Waimea Canyon (the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”) where our campsite was surrounded by the delicious scent of Hawaiian white ginger, and backpacking to Kalalau along the Na Pali coast trail. Coming from the rocky mountains and living at 9,000 feet, it was still an incredibly difficult trek! Kalalau means “to wander” and it was impossible not to feel the immense power and cultural history of the high cliffs and lush forests of this enchanted place (also the location where they filmed Jurassic Park!)
I did dislocate my finger hiking back out (but grateful it wasn’t worse!) so you’ll see me modifying my practice for the next couple weeks, but I am happy to be home, super excited for the upcoming AcroYoga workshop (you should come!) and am looking forward to the ski season starting very SOON! Work hard, play harder and pray for snow!
